Serving Chiefland and Surrounding Communities since 1968, our mission at Suwannee Valley Veterinary Clinic is to help your pets live happier, healthier lives by providing exceptional quality medical and surgical care in a compassionate environment. 

What began as a vision for modern, state-of-the-art veterinary care has grown into a full-service veterinary hospital, serving Chiefland and surrounding areas. 

Throughout our growth, we’ve remained committed to ensuring pets and their families receive individual attention and customized treatment plans in a comfortable, caring environment.

Dr. Rachel Teague

Dr. Rachel Teague

Veterinarian

Dr. Rachel Teague graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Cross City and Gainesville before joining out team in Ocala.

Dr. Teague enjoys taking care of her farm and crocheting. She has a daughter who is very active in 4-H and Future Farmers of America which keeps her very busy.

Dr. Heather Price

Dr. Heather Price

Veterinarian

Dr. Heather Price has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost three decades. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and worked in Jacksonville and Gainesville before joining the team at Suwannee Valley Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Price is very active in her church. She enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her husband and children.

Dr. Angela Spann

Dr. Angela Spann

Veterinarian

Dr. Angela Spann received her Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida and has been practicing animal medicine for over a decade.

She met her husband, John, while in college and they have two children together, Lucas and Jacob. The family of four loves attending Florida Gator football games, being out on the water fishing or scalloping, as well as participating in dairy cattle 4-H events throughout the state of Florida. Dr. Spann also has a small farm where she loves gardening and preserving her own veggies and fruits.

Dr. Jennifer McHale

Dr. Jennifer McHale

Veterinarian

Dr. Jennifer McHale graduated from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over two decades. She began her career in North Florida before joining the team at Suwannee Valley Veterinary Clinic.

In her spare time, Dr. McHale enjoys reading, kayaking, going to church, spending time with her children (who are very active in sports), and taking care of her dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and goats.

Dr. David Renaud

Dr. David Renaud

Veterinarian

Dr. David Renaud graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over three decades. He began his career at this hospital where he practiced alongside his father-in-law, Dr. David Meeks, until Dr. Meeks’ retirement in 2000.

In his spare time, Dr. Renaud enjoys fishing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family and his dog, Reese.
